This 48-card pop quiz on the history of science doesn’t require memorizing time lines or conducting potentially explosive experiments with a socially awkward lab partner. Instead, Who Discovered Ganymede? features a less-than-sure-footed steed, an unclothed romp through a Sicilian city, and the time-warping effects on twins of interplanetary travel! Naturally, Newton, Galileo, Einstein, and the other eggheads are also along for the ride. On the front of each card, you’ll be asked about anything from the discovery of early life-forms to developments in DNA sequencing. On the flip side, you will find the answer amidst additional information about that card’s particular subject—all presented in a manner much more entertaining (and much less snooze-inducing) than most academicians ever manage. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to travel through this deck, although, on at least one question it’d help.
